Weddings are costly, stressful, time-consuming, and often not very fun to plan. Simply Eloped is the top elopement company in the U.S. and makes the process of planning a wedding for 20 guests or fewer easy, cost-conscious, and enjoyable. Simply Eloped was founded by Janessa White and Matt Dalley in 2016 to change the wedding industry.

In a strategic move to enhance its offerings, The Knot Worldwide, a leading global technology company in the wedding and event planning industry, has announced its acquisition of Simply Eloped, the premier elopement company in the United States. Simply Eloped has built a reputation for simplifying the wedding planning process for couples looking to host intimate ceremonies with 20 guests or fewer.

The acquisition aligns with The Knot Worldwide’s mission to provide comprehensive solutions for couples at various stages of life, from wedding planning to parenting. By integrating Simply Eloped’s expertise in small-scale, cost-conscious weddings, The Knot Worldwide aims to cater to the growing demand for personalized and intimate wedding experiences.

“Simply Eloped is extremely excited to join The Knot Worldwide family. This is a relationship we’ve been cultivating for some time, and it felt like the perfect moment to join forces to further expand our offerings of elopements and micro-weddings,” said Janessa White, co-founder of Simply Eloped. “In our acquisition, The Knot Worldwide took on our existing couple bookings as well as our vendor and venue communities. This means no changes for our current customers or teams. However, it does mean that in the future, we’ll be able to reach more couples with our services.” White added,

“We’re seeing a big shift towards destination weddings, with couples getting married in places they don’t live. This can mean stateside, but we’re also seeing many couples go abroad, combining their ceremonies and honeymoons. You can always look at The Knot Worldwide’s 2024 Global Wedding Report for historical data and future trends.”

Simply Eloped’s existing operations will continue under The Knot Worldwide’s umbrella, with plans to expand its services to more locations and incorporate new features that leverage The Knot Worldwide’s technology and global reach.
