Toronto-based startup Mycroft, co-founded by Mike Kim (CEO), Jonathan Mendes (Head of Product & Design), and Jan Jedrasik (Head of Engineering), has raised $3.5 million in seed funding to accelerate the adoption of AI-driven security and compliance solutions. The round was led by Luge Capital, with participation from Brightspark Ventures and Graphite Ventures.
Founded on the belief that security shouldn’t be a juggling act, Mycroft provides an AI-native platform designed to serve as a personalized Security and Compliance Officer. The platform proactively monitors cloud environments, scans codebases, and protects organizations from emerging threats around the clock, removing the complexity and overhead that often burden security teams.

“Security shouldn’t be a juggling act. Many teams are stuck with patchwork tools and manual workflows that create blind spots and risk. Every company deserves enterprise-grade security without needing a massive team. That’s why we built Mycroft, an AI-native platform that acts as your personalized Security and Compliance Officer,” said Mike Kim, Co-Founder and CEO of Mycroft.
With the new funding, Mycroft plans to expand its engineering team, enhance its AI capabilities, and extend enterprise-grade security to organizations of all sizes—from nimble startups to large-scale enterprises. The startup aims to fundamentally redefine how security and compliance are embedded into business operations, providing teams with the tools they need to protect their systems without scaling complexity.
