Canadian Fintech AllScale Raises $5 Million Seed Led by YZi Labs to Build World’s First Self-Custody Stablecoin Neobank

AllScale Team

Canadian founded self custody financial platform AllScale announced the completion of a 5 million dollar Seed round led by YZi Labs through EASY Residency Season 2 with participation from Informed Ventures and Generative Ventures. The company says the funding will accelerate its mission to provide borderless financial infrastructure for the next generation of super individuals and small and medium sized businesses.

Founded by a team with deep expertise in distributed systems and payments AllScale is positioning itself as a new category of digital finance where anyone anywhere can send or receive stablecoin payments in minutes without relying on a traditional bank account.

While the platform serves a global user base the company says it remains deeply committed to the Canadian tech ecosystem. Co founders Shawn Pang and Leo Wang recently hosted the Made in Canada Founders and Investors Social in Vancouver a gathering designed to spotlight Canadian builders shaping the global technology landscape.

“We believe the next generation of global financial infrastructure is being built right here in Vancouver” said the founding team. “Standing alongside peers like Cohere and Neo Financial we are proud to contribute to a thriving local innovation economy.”

AllScale has also supported local policy and business discussions co hosting the first in person Understanding Canada session last month in Vancouver which focused on the 2025 federal budget and the growth of Canadian small businesses.

Product development is led by co founder and CTO Tom Chen a veteran technology leader with early internet experience and multiple successful exits in the social and entertainment sectors. Chen says the company is focused on removing the complexity typically associated with blockchain based financial tools.

“At AllScale we aren’t just building payment rails we are engineering an experience that makes blockchain invisible” Chen said. “My background in high engagement social platforms has taught me that the best technology is the kind users don’t usually notice. We are using account abstraction intelligent automation and AI driven workflows to remove the technical barriers of crypto giving Canadian SMBs and global freelancers a financial tool that makes payment as easy as sending text messages.”

The company is targeting businesses that are often underserved by existing payment providers particularly those operating across borders or in crypto native markets. AllScale says its infrastructure enables instant stablecoin transactions secure self custody wallets and professional invoicing tools.

AllScale Platform

“Our investment is driven by early indicators of strong product market fit supported by organic traction and solid retention metrics” YZi Labs stated in its announcement regarding the EASY Residency Season 2 cohort. “AllScale is well positioned to capture market share by combining the speed and transparency of stablecoins with a user experience aligned to the operational and compliance needs of modern businesses.”

“AllScale is redefining the standard for crypto native banking demonstrating a rare depth of technical excellence and regulatory clarity” said Will Wang Partner at Generative Ventures. “We’re excited to partner with the team as they bring the next generation of digital banking to a global audience.”

With the Seed round closed AllScale says it plans to continue expanding its platform as a financial layer for the AI economy freelancers and globally distributed businesses.
