Consio AI Raises $3.3 million to Bring Voice Back to Ecommerce Sales

Toronto-based Consio AI has raised $3.3 million in new funding as it looks to scale what it describes as the phone layer of ecommerce, a channel the company believes remains underutilized for complex and high-ticket purchases.

The round was led by RTP Global, an early backer of companies including Datadog and Delivery Hero. Additional participation came from Jason Lemkin’s SaaStr Fund, Mu Ventures, the founders of customer support platform Gorgias, and operators from Ramp and Datadog.

Founded by former Gorgias early employees Philippe Roireau and Martin Latrille, Consio AI is building a voice-first platform that combines AI-powered phone agents with seamless handoff to human sales teams. The product is designed specifically for ecommerce brands selling higher-value items, where customers often seek real-time conversations before completing a purchase.

“Shoppers making big purchases want real conversations not another email or chatbot,” said Philippe Roireau, co-founder & CEO of Consio AI. “Consio picks up every inbound call instantly and places perfectly timed outbound follow-ups, so brands never miss a sale or make customers wait.”

Unlike traditional call center software, Consio plugs directly into ecommerce platforms and customer data, allowing its AI voice agents to answer product questions, qualify leads, recover abandoned carts, book consultations, and escalate high-intent buyers to human teams with full context. The company says built-in guardrails help maintain brand voice consistency and compliance across both AI and human-led calls.

Customer adoption has accelerated quickly. Consio reports 10× revenue growth in under six months and says the platform has generated millions of dollars in incremental sales for ecommerce brands using its voice and phone automation tools.

“Voice is the most underutilized conversion lever in commerce especially for high-ticket purchases,” said Thomas Cuvelier, Partner at RTP Global. “Consio AI unlocks the phone channel as a profitable growth engine. Backing Philippe and Martin was obvious given their unique domain expertise from Gorgias.”

The platform is organized around three core components. The Ecom Power Dialer enables targeted outbound campaigns at scale with Shopify-native workflows. AI Voice Agents handle inbound calls instantly, resolving common questions and guiding shoppers through checkout. The AI Phone Hub unifies all calls in a single interface, giving teams visibility into customers, orders, and outcomes across AI and human interactions.

With the new funding, Consio plans to invest further in product development and go-to-market efforts as it expands adoption among ecommerce brands looking to turn phone conversations into a scalable revenue channel.
