Building a personal brand shouldn’t feel like a second job. That’s the philosophy behind Engyne, a startup that recently launched its AI-powered Carousel Studio on Canva’s App Marketplace. Designed to help users generate LinkedIn carousels with ease, the app has already gained significant traction, with 8,500 monthly users leveraging it to enhance their personal branding efforts. Best of all, it’s completely free. Sukhpal Saini, founder of Engyne, shared his insights on the launch and the evolving landscape of personal branding.

A Shift in Go-to-Market Strategy

With traditional growth strategies like cold emailing becoming less effective, founders and entrepreneurs need new ways to reach their audience. According to Saini, GTM (Go-To-Market) strategies are undergoing a massive shift.

“Gone are the days you can send 1,000 emails and hope to convert a good chunk of them. Cookies are being eliminated, so you can’t track open rates, GDPR makes cold emailing difficult, and buyers have learned to tune them out. A 1-2% response rate is the best you can expect from cold outreach.”

Instead, Saini believes that authentic personal branding is the way forward.

“Founders need to focus on attracting their prospects rather than pushing them in through the door. But building a personal brand is a full-time job. That’s why we built Carousel Studio—to make it easy for anyone to showcase their expertise without spending hours perfecting copy, fonts, and design.”

Explosive Growth Through Canva’s Marketplace

Since launching 10 months ago, Engyne’s Canva app has seen impressive organic growth. “The growth has been all organic through Canva’s App Marketplace. We first released on there 10 months ago, and the app is now used by 8,500 people every month. We also have the highest retention rates of any Canva app, with users averaging 60 uses per month.”

How Engyne’s Carousel Studio Elevates LinkedIn Content

For startup founders and professionals looking to grow their LinkedIn presence, Engyne’s tool is a game-changer. “If you have a content strategy—the topics you want to speak about—Engyne’s Carousel Studio can cut down content creation time from hours to just minutes. Simply type in your topic, select colors, and hit ‘Generate.’ That’s it! You’ll get a beautifully designed 4-slide carousel ready for export and posting.”

Tips for Growing a LinkedIn Audience

Saini also shared advice for those looking to increase their LinkedIn following. Posting every day is essential. Although it is difficult, it works. He recently did a 30-day posting streak and was able to increase his follower count by 15 percent, crossing 3,000 followers. Sticking to a relevant topic is also important. If you are selling to Engineering Managers, it is best not to talk about remote work. The more relevant your content is to your audience, the more engagement you will see. Being consistent is crucial. Avoid posting once and expecting instant results, as it takes multiple attempts to see real engagement.

The Future of B2B Marketing: Social Selling and Community Growth

As AI continues to disrupt traditional business models, Saini believes that distribution is becoming more critical than product differentiation.

“Every founder should invest time in building a personal brand, whether through a newsletter, YouTube, LinkedIn, or TikTok. With AI coding agents on the rise, building software alone won’t be a competitive advantage anymore. Distribution is everything.”

Saini also sees Social Selling making its way into the B2B world, following the success of influencer-driven marketing in B2C sectors.

“Influencers have been doing this for DTC brands on Instagram, and B2C has cracked this on TikTok. Now, it’s time for B2B to embrace LinkedIn and short-form video content.”

Looking ahead, Engyne is preparing to launch its flagship app in Private Beta. “We’re launching soon to help busy leaders build thought leadership with just 20 minutes of work per week.”

With its innovative approach to AI-powered personal branding, Engyne is well-positioned to become a leader in the evolving landscape of digital marketing and social selling.
