A new wave of preventative healthcare is gaining momentum as ISHP Labs expands its precision human performance platform across Canada, aiming to shift healthcare from reactive treatment to early detection and optimization. Founded by Dr. Lauren Elise Karatanevski, ISHP Labs focuses on translating advanced physiological diagnostics into clear, actionable insights that help individuals better understand and improve how their bodies function. The company combines lab-grade testing with expert analysis and ongoing education, positioning itself at the intersection of healthcare, performance science, and longevity optimization.
“Most people train and manage their health based on guesswork and a one-size-fits-all approach,” said Dr. Lauren Elise Karatanevski, Founder and CEO of ISHP Labs. “We replace that with precise diagnostic data that reveals how the body actually performs, then turn it into simple strategies people can use immediately.”
Strong growth across clinical and performance testing
ISHP Labs has reported rapid expansion over the past two years. The company more than doubled its appointments, growing from 545 at year-end 2024 to 1,207 at year-end 2025. During that same period, it also increased gross revenue by 2.5x. ISHP forecasts continued appointment growth and more than 20 percent revenue growth heading into 2026.
Alongside rising demand, ISHP has expanded its physical footprint and mobile testing capabilities. The company now operates advanced testing labs in brick-and-mortar locations in Toronto and Collingwood, with Ottawa scheduled to launch in June 2026. Each location also includes a mobile lab component that brings assessments directly to clients and partners in new markets.
At the core of ISHP’s model is a shift in how health data is interpreted and used. Rather than leaving patients with complex diagnostic results and little clarity, the company focuses on translating data into personalized, practical guidance.
Dr. Karatanevski described this approach as central to the company’s mission.
“Health data only matters if people can understand and act on it,” she said. “Our goal is to give people real ownership over their health by making physiology understandable, measurable, and usable.”
This includes insights into metabolic capacity, cardiovascular fitness, respiratory function, musculoskeletal health, and cognitive performance, all framed in a way that supports daily decision-making.

Expansion into Research, Wearable Data Analytics and Subscription Health Models
As demand grows, ISHP is scaling its offerings beyond diagnostics. The launch of the Ottawa lab will operate alongside ISHP Research, a newly established not-for-profit scientific research laboratory focused on military personnel, first responders, and women’s health. The company is also exploring the integration of wearable data into its analytics platform, alongside a subscription-based model focused on long-term health optimization, including weight management, performance monitoring, and longevity programs.
It is also expanding partnerships across healthcare providers, fitness organizations, and corporate wellness programs, reflecting a broader industry shift toward preventative and performance-based care models. Hiring is underway in sports science, physiology, and health analytics to support the next phase of growth.
Industry observers have noted increasing interest in precision health platforms as consumers and employers look for alternatives to traditional reactive healthcare systems. ISHP’s model aligns with a growing market for data-driven wellness, where continuous measurement and personalized interventions are replacing generalized health advice.
With new labs, mobile expansion, and subscription services on the roadmap, ISHP Labs is positioning itself as part of a broader transformation in how health systems approach prevention, performance, and longevity.
