Toronto’s tech community is gearing up for TechExit.io Toronto 2025, the country’s leading conference on tech exits and strategic growth. Since its debut in 2017, TechExit.io has built a reputation as the must-attend event for entrepreneurs, investors, and dealmakers who want to navigate one of the most critical and often misunderstood phases of building a company: the exit.

This year’s theme, “Optionality is King,” reflects the shifting dynamics of the tech landscape. With AI, secondaries, and structural flexibility reshaping growth paths, founders are no longer thinking in terms of one big transaction. Instead, they’re focused on building companies with the agility to adapt to market conditions  whether that means an IPO, an acquisition, or simply keeping their options open.

“If you’re a Builder, TechExit.io is your opportunity to connect with like-minded Builders shaping the world,” said Amar Varma, Co-Founder & CEO of Mantle and this year’s conference chair. “We will explore the nuances of building and how they pertain to acquisition, and share lessons on how to acquire. This is where resources, knowledge, and the network you’ll need to succeed will be.”

Program Highlights

The 2025 program brings together some of Canada’s most ambitious founders, investors, and operators for a deep dive into the strategies that drive both growth and liquidity. Highlights include:

  • 2026 M&A Market Outlook: Trends, Timing & Optionality
  • Exit Optionality in Action: How to Build Towards IPO, M&A, or Whatever Comes Next
  • The Best Exit Strategy Is Not Having One
  • Brands Are Worth More: Redefining Marketing for 2025 + Beyond
  • Deals, Drama & The Ones That Got Away: Behind the Curtain of Big Tech M&A

Tech Exit Conference Toronto Stage

Learning from Canada’s Biggest Builders

Past speakers have included Allen Lau (Wattpad), Kevin Kliman (Humi), and leaders from Clio, offering attendees firsthand insights into how Canada’s top founders have navigated exits while retaining leverage and control. The 2025 lineup promises to continue this tradition, with candid conversations about what it really takes to steer a company through uncertain markets.

For founders weighing the path forward, TechExit.io isn’t about chasing the perfect deal, it’s about learning to build with optionality baked into the DNA of the company.
