1. When a new hire shows up for day one
You worked for weeks or sometimes even months to source and select the candidate. HR has set-up all the paper work and the signature is done. Orientation day is here and the new hire shows up just right on time. This probably the best feeling ever throughout the whole recruiting cycle. The new hire shows up and hiring manager is happy. A new chapter is upon the organization!

Have you been in this situation before where the candidates wants to finish the other interviews? Here’s that look feeling! Everything went well but they still would like to explore other opportunities. This is a tough position to be in and often times when it’s a candidates market vs employers market.

They call this the purple squirrel phenomenal. Have you seen the hiring managers requirement? This is what it may look like! We have seen this so many times as recruiters try to find that perfect candidate for the teams. You just can’t have batman and spider-man in the same candidate. It’s one or the other. This is like asking the full-stack developer to do design work.
4. What was Job Interview like in 2021?
Remember when the pandemic hit and continued in 2021? Companies went remote and this is what the interview looked like. Most likely you asked the candidate about their background! Was it a mountain or something else on that Zoom call? This one totally made us laugh.
5. Starting a new job
Day One Vs. Year One. Nothing matches the excitement of the new job? But what about after year one? This one is totally relatable as you work your way through first year at the job.
6. It’s raining candidates on Linkedin or is it?
Is Linkedin the solution to every recruiting problem? This is every recruiters face when they see hiring managers think that they just hop on Linkedin to find the best candidates. All those hours of sourcing never gets mentioned. It actually may not rain candidates on Linkedin.
7. Getting ready for remote at 9:00 AM.
Who can relate to this one? You can go from bed to meeting in less than a minute as there’s no need for commuting. This one is all too funny as we know it, which was some companies the default to voice as supposed to video. Not every meeting needs to be video based.
8. “I accepted another offer”
This one is a classic one. After going through all that work of sourcing, and interviewing then it went no where.
9. “Can we see more candidate?”
Every recruiters has seen this probably multiple times throughout the year. “Can we see more candidates?” This often times happen after weeks of sourcing and interview. Just when you think you found the right candidate, but hiring managers comes back and has other ideas.
10. When you find that perfect candidate
Every recruiter has been in this moment. What is this moment you ask? It’s that moment when you find that perfect candidate. It’s beautiful, isn’t it?
